Aches and pains in the body are a common symptom and complaint. Commonly due to muscle cramp, injury, or strain aches and pains can be a large burden on day to day activities.

Body pains may be present because of conditions that affect bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, nerves and skin.

Symptoms

Depending upon the cause and the individual situation, reasons for aches and pains vary widely and pain may radiate from its source to another location which can cause confusion. For example, hip problems may initially present with knee pain.
With some injuries and conditions pain gradually resolves as the muscle or joint warms up during activity but other times the pain may be made worse with use

Common causes of aches and pains may include:

  • Muscle strain
  • Injuries like a torn / overstretched muscle or inflamed tendon
  • Inflammation
