Anderson knee may rule out Bangladesh trip
18/1/2010
A niggling knee injury may cause England cricketer James Anderson to miss the upcoming tour of Bangladesh, it has been suggested. The swing bowler played in all four Test matches of England's trip to South Africa that ended this weekend, but an ongoing complaint may see the Lancastrian rested for the tour of the lowest-ranked Test-playing nation.
Anderson's absence is expected to coincide with a couple of other senior players being rested from the trip to avoid the sort of player burn-out that could cause injuries.
This includes captain Andrew Strauss being widely tipped to stay at home while vice-captain Alistair Cook takes over his job for the tour.
People who, like James Anderson, have an ongoing knee problem may find that using ultrasound treatment helps it clear up.
The tour will be England's second to Bangladesh, with the tourists winning both Tests in the previous series in 2003, by seven wickets in Dhaka and 329 runs in Chittagong.
