The majority of work injuries are related to back and neck pain, it has been stated.Figures from the Council of Labor Affairs in Taipei stated that such problems account for 90 per cent of work-related claims filed under the national labour insurance plan, the Taipei Times reports.
A study by body indicated these tended to be suffered by those who sat at desks using computers for most of their days and said that better chairs could help with the problem by providing more back support.
People that work in offices and suffer from back and neck pain may find that ultrasound products help to ease them.
In the UK, the government's own website provides advice for people sitting at a desk and using a computer to enable them to maintain their posture.
It stated that; "A correctly adjusted chair will reduce the strain on your back," which should include having the knees level with the hips.
