Back pain 'does not have to be endured'

It is a fallacy that back pain is something that people simply have to learn to live with, an expert has said.Writing for theSpec.com, massage therapist Conor Collins said that there are a number of measures people can take to help alleviate the condition, such as performing certain exercises.
He described how stretching the hamstrings while seated could help, as well as lunging hip stretches and a four-point rocking move.
Mr Collins said that these all help "core" body strength, which can be the key to the condition.
"If the core is injured such that the larger back muscles do the job for your core, then the result can be back pain," he noted.
While such measures may form part of the solution for many people, some could also find that using ultrasound treatment aids the alleviation of back pain.
Figures released by the Council of Labor Affairs in Taipei recently stated that back and neck pain were the most common injuries for which people in the country made insurance claims.
