A former professional footballer is now a practitioner of a posture-based back treatment after using it for his own injury problems during his career.Daily Mail writer Alison Tyler was treated by former pain sufferer Jonathan Hunt, who discovered hanna somatics when struggling with injury during his career with Birmingham City.
Hunt identified that the writer's own back pain - which arose after a car accident - was caused by a right-side impact, as this was evident in Ms Tyler's posture.
He then gave her a series of exercises to correct the posture in a bid to ease the problem.
Those looking for other ways to deal with back pain may find that home ultrasound is the most effective way to ease discomfort.
Other sportspeople suffering from back problems include former swimmer Sharron Davies.
She told the Daily Record she was taking painkillers to deal with back, shoulder and leg pain when taking part in episodes of reality skating show Dancing On Ice.
