Giggs in arm pain concern
11/2/2010
Ryan Giggs is to have an X-ray after leaving the field with pain in his arm during Manchester United's game against Aston Villa last night (February 10th). The Welshman suffered the injury in a clash with Steve Sidwell and will have an anxious wait as the extent of the damage is assessed.
He left the ground in a sling and if a break is diagnosed, it could mean a lengthy absence for the 36-year-old, who is the reigning Footballer of the year.
Commenting on Giggs' injury, manager Alex Ferguson said: "It is very painful but hopefully he is going to be all right."
Those suffering from the pain of a break or the potentially lengthy recovery period that follows may find that using a cheap ultrasound machine helps to reduce the level of discomfort.
Giggs' has managed to play for Manchester United since making his debut against Everton in 1991, with most of his injuries during that time being muscular problems such as hamstring strains.
