Muscle strain rules bowler out

Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been ruled out of the forthcoming one-day international (ODI) series against South Africa after suffering a muscle strain during the second Test match between the sides in Kolkata.The Board of Control for Cricket in India revealed the nature of the injury today (February 17th), stating: "Zaheer has sustained a muscle strain to his leg and has been ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa," adding that Shanta Sreesanth will take his place.
Zaheer's injury flared up on day four of the match, with the bowler then unable to take to the field on the final day.
Despite his absence, India still managed to bowl out the tourists to win the game by an innings and 58 runs.
Those suffering from a leg muscle injury may find that using ultrasound equipment aids recovery.
Born in October 1978 in Maharashtra, Zaheer Khan may need to take more action to maintain his fitness at the age of 31, having been playing international cricket since 2000.
