Redknapp sympathises with injured Van Persie

Jamie Redknapp has said that he can understand Robin van Persie's willingness to seek an unorthodox solution to his latest sport injury setback. The former Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder's career was plagued by injuries and in 2005 he was forced to retire from football at the age of 32.
Writing in the Daily Mail, Redknapp insisted that "there is nothing you will not do" in an attempt to regain fitness if you are a professional footballer.
Earlier this week, Arsenal and Holland striker Van Persie revealed that he was seeking treatment for an ankle injury from Serbian physiotherapist Mariana Kovacevic, who is known for rubbing a horse placenta onto damaged ligaments.
Redknapp commented: "There is a lot of bad advice in football, but I can understand what Robin is doing here.
"The placenta has nutrients and vitamins. If it can help avoid an operation, then it's a good idea."
People who prefer less radical treatment options for ankle ligament strains may like to try ultrasound machines such as the Ultralieve Pro.
