Sports injury problems mount for Everton

Everton's satisfaction at progressing to the next round of the UEFA Europa League was marred by new sport injury worries in Greece last night (December 2nd).The Premier League side recorded a 1-0 victory over AEK Athens to reach the last 32 of the competition, but Everton boss David Moyes was dismayed to see three of his players taken off for treatment.
Jo, Sylvain Distin and Dan Gosling all picked up injuries, with Moyes claiming after the game that a busy fixture schedule may be taking its toll on his squad.
"I think the main reason for the injuries is down to overloading them. Sylvain has had to play just about every minute of every game," the manager said.
Moyes also revealed that Jo's injury is not thought to be serious, but Distin and Gosling could both be facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines with hamstring strains.
Everton are already missing a number of key players due to injuries, with Mikel Arteta and Phil Jagielka yet to feature this season.
The Merseyside club welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Goodison Park in a Premier League clash on Sunday.
