Zamora suffers shoulder injury
6/1/2010
Fulham striker Bobby Zamora is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering injury during his side's game against Stoke City last night. The forward fell awkwardly in the match and suffered a dislocation to either his shoulder or his collarbone.
Manager Roy Hodgson commented afterwards: "I don't know at this point whether its his collarbone or shoulder but either way it's a bad injury and an expensive day for us."
However, he noted, fellow striker Andy Johnson recovered from a collarbone dislocation in just three weeks.
The blow comes at a time when the club has recently seen John Pantsil sustain a knee ligament injury, while Brede Hangeland also had to come off in the match in Stoke.
People recovering from a shoulder injury may find that ultrasound treatment helps aid recuperation.
Other footballers with dislocated shoulder problems include Gillingham midfielder Danny Jackman, who said this week he is hoping to be playing again later this month after recent surgery on the joint.
